Executives of IRT and LEMAC announced today their intention to create more than 1,000 permanent jobs over three years in the field of regulatory compliance review.
“Pending the acquisition of sufficient space to meet our requirements, it is our intent to establish our principal offices and operations in the same location” said IRT spokesperson Joe Davis. The project will require an additional 1,000 long-term construction jobs to upgrade facilities to meet specific requirements and to remove any pre-existing conditions.
The locations being considered include Birmingham, Alabama and the suburbs of Charlotte, NC, as well as Wisconsin, Maine, Pennsylvania, Idaho and Indiana, largely dependent upon structures suitable for a data center and offices. The project requires more than 1.6 Million square feet of space to accommodate our needs.
Plans for the site include establishment of more than 600,000 square feet of data center space, plus offices and work spaces for a newly hired staff. The facility will have permanent job openings for programmer analysts, computer technicians, database specialists, administrative, managerial, and other jobs. Site management will include jobs for security officers, fire safety, health care, landscaping, foodservice, property maintenance, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and many more positions.
“With such a large workforce, it is essential that we be prepared to provide a very positive, enjoyable work environment for our colleagues. This includes a superior cafeteria operation with a focus on delicious, healthy foods” added Davis. “We intend to make this a place where people will endeavor to work, and where those hired will strive to achieve long-term success.”
“It is our wholehearted intent to become one of America’s shining beacons of corporate success and a good community neighbor, where we finally select our permanent location.” said Dr. Robert Angelone, Chairman of IRT.
Mr. Davis stated that the work performed at the facility will provide “substantial improvement” to the financial sector in the field of Asset-Backed Securities.
