Increasing Profits
|
Most properties we work with, whether they are hotels, restaurants, country clubs or other hospitality businesses are seeking ways to increase profits.
Epicurus has specialized in this area, being uniquely skilled in maximizing profit from existing revenues and developing new revenue streams for our clients.
Clients often find that though revenues remain stable from year to year, the percentage of profit yielded from sales can change dramatically. Often, circumstances beyond normal business control affect the bottom line. These may be price fluctuations in various markets, changes in suppliers and other causes management cannot control.
Epicurus can work with management to develop planning and resources to control inflationary changes in the market. We will mutually create cost-savings policies, procedures and methodologies that will permanently build into the normal course of operations significant profit increases from existing revenues.
Working with management, Epicurus professionals will assist your team in developing new revenues from your existing client base. We can identify areas of revenue generation that will add new sales to existing revenues. Planning these new sales with very specific profit ratios and planning to maintain maximum profits.
Some of our successes with clients have been dramatic. A four star restaurant, for example, sought our services to help lower the cost of food which had risen to more than 40% per annum. While the restaurant was still profitable, the amount of profit had dwindled down over the years. Epicurus was engaged and within several months had lowered food costs down to a very manageable 22%. Within less than a year, the costs had lowered down to less than 20%, resulting in more than doubling profit from existing revenues. Sales remained stable but the amount of profit was responsibly increased and remained at the less than 20% level for many years. Those policies, procedures and methodologies created during our consultancy remained as permanent business practice, resulting in continued profit from revenues.
