| Diageo, in business since 1886 has survived economic calamites, world wars and all sorts of crises, but continues, unabated in the sale, distribution and production of beers, spirits and wines. In bad economic times, their lower priced brands predominate, while in better times, upscale brands take precedence, making Diageo somewhat recession proof. Not to mention the fact that in bad times, unfortunately, more people turn to drink than perhaps ever should. We have a strong buy and hold recommendation for this stock. |

The company offers a range of premium brands comprising Smirnoff vodka, Johnnie Walker scotch whiskies, Captain Morgan rum, Baileys Original Irish Cream liqueur, J&B scotch whisky, Tanqueray gin, and Guinness stout.
